For the free consultation, I’ll encourage you to share your concerns, your experience with therapy in the past, what is leading you to seek therapy at this time, and any questions you have for me.
For the intake appointment, we’ll spend the hour reviewing your assessments, clinical history, informed consent documents, all in an effort to begin to understand your needs and goals, and come up with a treatment plan.

More and more, insurance companies limit coverage to brief forms and courses of therapy, and disincentivizing longer sessions, which limits the client’s ability to choose their preferred or medically needed course of action. We believe in forms of therapy that are geared towards you as a unique individual, and helping you to go deeper than some of the forms of therapy that insurance companies are willing to pay. Intensive therapy specifically is an amazing support for many people to feel better, faster, but is not covered by most insurance companies (they may reimburse portions of an Intensive, but not in full).

Within the intensive therapy format (3-4 hour sessions), individuals make significant progress within one or two extended sessions.
